I’m giving the blog a bit of an overhaul. I had started to use it as something of a scrapbook, collecting pictures and quotes from various places across tumblr (like most people, I suspect).
I actually have another tumblr that really IS a scrapbook of all my favourite geek images but I’ve since abandoned it, realising what a great time-suck it had become. I was constantly checking it, trying to find the best images, the most obscure or ironic images and post them FIRST. I would honestly spend hours on Tumblr every day, just refreshing and hitting ‘reblog’. It was addictive but I started feeling guilty about the time I spent on it. Time that I could have been using productively, like researching, writing or reading.
So now, I’m going to write. I have other writing outlets that are very specific but this is my secret place, a place where I can write what’s on my mind.
